GRD College of Pharmacy, Thiruvallur, has established a Placement Committee to guide students towards career opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare sector, hospitals, research organizations, pharmacy companies, and higher education pathways.
The Placement Committee supports students from the first year by organizing career guidance programs, skill development sessions, placement training, and recruiter interaction activities. The cell helps students improve confidence, communication skills, interview performance, professional behaviour, and employability.

Purpose of the Placement Committee
The main purpose of the Placement Committee is to prepare students for successful careers after completing D.Pharm, B.Pharm, B.Pharm Lateral Entry, M.Pharm, Pharm.D, and Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate courses.
The committee works to connect students with potential recruiters and guide them towards suitable career opportunities in pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, clinical research organizations, drug testing laboratories, healthcare sectors, and pharmacy-related industries.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Placement Committee is responsible for organizing placement activities, building recruiter relationships, training students, and supporting the placement process.
- Prepare placement brochure for final placement activities
- Conduct pre-placement visits to companies
- Communicate with potential recruiters
- Build professional relationships with pharmaceutical companies and healthcare organizations
- Invite potential recruiters to visit the institution
- Organize campus interviews and placement drives
- Continue placement activities until students receive suitable opportunities
- Groom and train students to improve their selection chances
- Conduct mock interviews, group discussions, and communication skill programs
- Support students with resume preparation and interview readiness
- Coordinate recruiter interaction and student participation
- Follow up with selected students and recruiters
- Support joining formalities and administrative placement activities
- Maintain placement-related records and reports

Tenure of the Placement Committee
The tenure of the Placement Committee shall be for a period of three years with effect from 08/12/2024. The duties, responsibilities, functions, and conduct of committee meetings shall be followed as per the rules and guidelines of the university and the institution.
